Mash Minute: Meet Snow!

This week, meet Snow, a 3–4-year-old Husky/Chow mix with plenty of energy and an even bigger heart.

Snow is a very energetic girl who gets along with everyone she meets. She would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves.

Snow came to MCSO a few months ago as a safekeeping case and has been patiently waiting for her a new home.

Now, she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will love her and give her the happy home she’s been waiting for.

If interested in meeting Snow, contact the MASH UNIT at 602-876-1212

When people are at their most vulnerable, having the right people by their side can make all the difference. Sheriff Jerry Sheridan and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office are proud of the Co-Responders who work alongside our deputies every day to connect people in crisis with the help they need.

Thank you for the work you do and for being there when people need you most. 💛

This evening, Sheriff Jerry Sheridan joined the Fountain Hills community for a 9/11 Remembrance Service, joined by members of the MCSO Honor Guard and a flyover from the MCSO Aviation Unit.

As we close this solemn day of remembrance, let us remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, not just today, but every day. Let us remember the unity our nation found in the aftermath of the attacks and the strength we showed when we stood together as Americans.

Most importantly, let us never forget the brave law enforcement officers, firefighters, first responders, and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice while trying to save others.

We remember their lives. We honor their sacrifice. We carry their memory forward. Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost and the countless lives forever changed on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who continue to carry the weight of unimaginable loss, and the courage and resilience that brought our nation together in the face of tragedy.

At the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, we carry their memory forward by honoring the values they inspired in us: service, sacrifice, courage, and an unwavering commitment to protecting our communities.

MCSO Detention Class 1000 put their skills and training to the test by fighting through the immobilizing effects of OC (pepper spray) during exposure training.

This hands on training helps ensure our detention deputies are prepared to maintain control, overcome the effects of OC, and take command of real world situations where OC may be deployed.
Training under adversity prepares our detention personnel to perform when it matters most.
