The Maricopa County Assessor's Office is a constitutionally based office within Arizona that is responsible for noticing and valuing up to 1.8 million real an

d personal property accounts. In Arizona, the Assessor's Office is responsible for valuing all property for Ad Valorem (according to value) taxation. The property taxes that utilize our underlying values are then used to fund critical government functions, from police and fire districts, to schools and flood control districts.
