City of Pico Rivera - Government Welcome to the official page for the City of Pico Rivera. Entertainment facilities, beaches and the mountains are a few miles away.

Pico Rivera is a thriving community that offers opportunities to all who live and work in the City. Incorporated in 1958 by residents of two adjacent historic communities, Pico and Rivera, the once agricultural area is now home to a balanced mix of homes, businesses and recreational facilities. More than 120 developed acres are devoted to various recreational facilities for the enjoyment of the co

mmunity, including just under 100 acres of local parks. Easy access to major railroads and three freeways, coupled with its close proximity to port and airport facilities, continues to attract various industries to the City. The housing stock has been expanded in recent years with the addition of several newer housing developments. Seventy percent of homes in Pico Rivera are owner-occupied.

What a great night it was to celebrate and enjoy local talent!!! Our last Summer Street Fest of the season was packed with thousands of music lovers from near and far to hear The Tapia Sisters and The Elements, The Dons of Distinction, and Exposé!!!!

We've got rain in the forecast today. As a reminder, residents who wish to fill up sandbags can do so for FREE at the City Yard located at 9633 Beverly Road.

Sand is located outside of the City Yard and is available at any time. Residents must bring their own shovels and sandbags. Sandbags will NOT be available on site.

Free sandbags are available at the following County Fire Stations in the City:
Fire Station 25 - 9209 E. Slauson Ave
Fire Station 40 - 4864 Durfee Ave
Fire Station 103 - 7300 Paramount Blvd

As a reminder, per the State's Vehicle Code 21800 (d)(1) CVC requires drivers to stop when approaching intersections with traffic signals that are not working.
