In 2025, 450 new permits were issued for houses in Pilot Point! It is great to have new families join this wonderful community, and it has a strong economic impact on our local businesses.

Growth starts with buying into our established local business and our grants do just that!

Our Pilot Point Municipal Development District team is our primary local entity that handles grants and incentives, welcoming new business to town and helping them with their needs!

Our economic development incentives toolbox includes:
- PEIP (Property Enhancement Improvement Program) Matching Grants
- Tax Abatements
- Chapter 380 Agreements

One of the easiest datapoints to scale economic development success is sales tax. Year to date, Pilot Point has collected a 13% increase in sales tax revenue!

Statistics like this enable growth and are extremely impactful to the very community buying into itself.

Use this as a reminder always to shop locally and help your very own community flourish!

Through community growth, it is critical not to lose the identity of what has gotten said community to the point it's at presently, and one of the ways Pilot Point strives to do this is through downtown reinvestment.

Our historic downtown is the core of Pilot Point and its rich history, and protecting this is a critical element to economic development.

- Disbursed more than $153,000 in grant money in 2025 to small businesses
- Officially opened 1902 Central Hall to serve our community as a downtown wedding and event venue
- Oversaw groundbreaking on 70-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites
- Coordinated with Matt Saba LLC and FMB Legacy for cornerstone restaurants in our historic downtown
- Has an robust economic incentive toolbox and can connect businesses to resources through Small Business Administration
- Continues to highlight Pilot Point on a state and regional level as a top location for those looking to expand their business into our growing city
