As we spend time with family and friends today, we also reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day; a time of remembrance, gratitude, and respect for those who gave everything in service to others. Melissa’s expertise spans budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, scalable infrastructure, M&A integration, and ERP transformation. She is widely recognized for building high-performing teams and enabling data-driven decision-making that supports efficient and sustainable growth across organizations.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and three children in Poway, California, where family adventures and sports schedules keep life exciting. When she has a quiet moment, she enjoys gardening and relaxing with a good book. Based in Mesa, Arizona, Eric officially joined the team on May 11 and brings more than 15 years of experience developing strategic, integrated marketing programs focused on key customer segments and vertical markets.

Throughout his career, Eric has built a strong track record of creating impactful campaigns and go-to-market strategies that support business growth and strengthen customer engagement. At Sciens, he will play an important role in advancing our vertical marketing initiatives and supporting the continued adoption of Sciens Service Suite (S3) across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, hospitality, and data centers. He will also work closely with our sales teams to develop targeted campaigns, thought leadership content, case studies, industry event strategies, and customer relationship programs that help drive value across the fire and life safety ecosystem.

Outside of work, Eric is a proud University of Iowa graduate, devoted father of two, and is passionate about travel, photography, music, and exploring new technology and AI-driven marketing tools. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the incredible mothers across the Sciens Building Solutions family whose strength, compassion, resilience, and dedication inspire those around them every day. Balancing the demands of work, family, and everything in between is no small feat, and we are grateful for the care and leadership our working moms bring to both their homes and our teams.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Sherry Hathcock Prescott for the beautiful potted succulents she thoughtfully created for the moms at our Sciens Tampa Bay Division. Your kindness and personal touch made the celebration even more meaningful and served as a wonderful reminder of appreciation and community.

At Sciens Building Solutions, investing in our people is one of the most important ways we build for the future, and Bailey Grullon’s journey is a great example of that commitment in action.

Bailey began her career with Mammoth Fire Alarms in 2021 as a Test and Inspection Scheduler with no prior life safety industry experience. Through hard work, determination, and a passion for learning, she quickly advanced into multiple roles of increasing responsibility, from Deficiency Coordinator to Project Coordinator, where she helped manage projects, support operational improvements, and contribute to the development of departmental SOPs.

As a participant in the Sciens Building Solutions STAR Program, Bailey gained valuable hands-on experience both in the office and in the field, helping accelerate her professional growth. Along the way, she also earned her NICET I and II certifications, a testament to her dedication to continuous learning and excellence in the life safety industry.

We are proud to support team members like Bailey through programs like STAR, which help create opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, and long-term career growth across the Sciens family of companies.
