📚 Library Closure Reminder

Clymer Library will be closed Monday, August 31 for staff in-service.

We’ll reopen with our regular hours on Tuesday, September 1 and look forward to welcoming everyone back!

🧶 Help Us Weave Some Warmth! 💛

Clymer Library is seeking donations of fleece yardage for our new Weaving Warmth Wednesdays program!

Beginning in September, patrons will be invited to lend a hand in creating hand-tied fleece blankets that will be donated to those in need throughout our community. Whether you participate in making a blanket or simply donate some fleece, every contribution will help us turn a little time and fabric into something warm and meaningful for a neighbor.

We are especially seeking fleece yardage in pieces of 2 yards or more. Donations can be dropped off at Clymer Library during regular hours.

Help us turn generosity into warmth.

🎲 Step back in time and discover how Americans played!

Join us this Saturday, August 29 at 1:30 PM for “For the Fun of It: Dolls, Toys and Games in Early America,” presented by Dr. Sara J. Cornell.

From handmade dolls and childhood toys to the games that entertained generations before us, Dr. Cornell will offer a fascinating look at play and recreation throughout the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore everyday history through the objects people treasured, played with, and passed down.

Tonight’s performance will be inside the community room due to the weather and the possibility of some showers.
We will be having a food truck tonight and the community room doors will also be open so if you would like to try and sit on the patio and listen to music from inside the community room, you will be free to do that.
