Did you know that every family that attends our monthly Books & Blankets storytime goes home with a free book? This is our outdoor, evening storytime and it's perfect for families with kiddos aged 8 and under. Our next Books & Blankets is coming up on Thursday, September 17 at 6:00 p.m. Register your family and let us help you build your own home library!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and visited with us during Red Mill Community Day! We had so much fun enjoying the weather, handing out back scratchers, watching the prize wheel spin, and talking to all of you. It was extra-special this year because it allowed us to show a tiny slice of our gratitude for all your support during our millage renewal. We appreciate you every day!!

Earlier this month, our teen cookie decorators had a prehistoric amount of fun creating their own frosted fossil masterpieces! From digging into the details to getting creative with icing, these cookies were almost too cool to eat… almost.

A huge shoutout to Kelly from Loafing Goat Bakery for bringing her creativity, humor, and frosting skills to the table. Thanks for making Teen Art Hour: Dino-Mite Bites such a fun adventure!

With all the back to school energy in the air, we weren't sure how many seekers we'd have at this week's Adventures on the Book Bike. But oh man, we left with full hearts and an almost empty book bike. 128 seekers found us parked on the hill top at Alton Park - making that a record for us!!

With new things, we never really know how they'll turn out - we hope for the best and prepare for improvements. Adventures on the Book Bike has been such a great opportunity for us to get out into the community that we are going to continue our travels this fall. Look out for the fall program calendar, coming out on September 1, as we'll be out and about again handing out what we hope to be even MORE new books to all those who find us!
