🚲This school year, Metro's SRTS school resources are reaching 50 schools in the region. This includes 24 bike fairs, 25 $500 micro-grants, 400 helmets, and over 200 lights & locks. We also saw a record high request for bike bus and walking school bus kits with 35 bike bus kits & 27 walking school bus kits.

Safety first! Wear a life jacket when boating, swimming, paddling, tubing in rivers and lakes.

Although summer is winding down, we still have life jackets for those who need them. Come visit our table to pick up free life jackets for you and your family. Unless noted, we'll have all sizes (infant, child, youth, adult, adult XL) while supplies last.

Sept. 5: Lake Day Water Safety Fair at Blue Lake Regional Park, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Do you have ideas about how to enhance your community?

Metro has $250,000 in grant funding available for projects serving the neighborhoods of Forest Park, Cathedral Park, Linnton, the Northwest District, and an area directly adjacent to the St. Johns Bridge. The grant funding supports programs, services and projects that address community needs.
