Get out and support Rep. Luz Bay who is running for Executive Council in District 1 (just to the north or Portsmouth)! We need to flip the Executive Council blue this fall!

NH has a reputation for being a “low-tax” state. But that reputation always leaves out a big part of the picture... local property taxes.

When looking at state + local taxes combined, NH ranks 32nd in the nation! ($5,669 per person each year).

What does that mean? When politicians cut taxes for the wealthy + corporations, that just means the costs get shifted onto the rest of us with higher property tax bills + more expensive rent.

The reason your property taxes are so high is that Republicans in Concord are downshifting education costs to local communities. We must elect a Democratic majority in the fall — and Democrats up and down the ballot — to reverse the dismantling of public education in New Hampshire.
