Daily Bread

Daily Bread Interfaith Human Services of Putnam is a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization serving the Greater Putnam area.

Established in 2005, Interfaith Human Services of Putnam [IHSP] is an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that oversees the operation of the Daily Bread Food Pantry, the NU2U Clothing Closet, the Diaper Bank of NECT, Fuel/Heating Assistance and Homelessness Support and Rental Assistance. We also provide Thanksgiving baskets and support for the Town of Putnam Summer Food program

. It is a testament to the extraordinary giving nature of people in Northeastern Connecticut that we are able to operate with an all-volunteer staff. Simply put, we are really just an old-fashioned neighborhood helping to wrap their arms around our friends and neighbors in need and volunteering to help provide them a hand during tough times.

We are halfway through the month and the Period Supply donations are rolling in! We are so grateful to our generous community!

Hello Everyone
I’ve seen some well-meaning posts on social media that our shelves are bare. While we deeply appreciate the concern, I would like to report that Daily Bread is not in crisis mode. Our shelves are well stocked. We receive and manage weekly deliveries from multiple, reliable food sources and our shelves are restocked on a daily basis. Daily Bread purchases almost 80 percent of its food and that is made possible by our generous donors and grants. But we also welcome food donations. With summer vacation just around the corner, we will be needing extra PB&J, microwaveable mac & cheese, and microwaveable pasta meals. We are truly grateful for the community support that helps sustain our mission. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact me at WINY Radio, 860-928-1350.
Thank you
Karen Osbrey
IHSP (Daily Bread) President
