Two of our new recruits are starting week number 3 of the Fire Academy of Kentucky. They are doing excellent in the classroom, hands-on training, and exercise. Keep up the great effort!

August work anniversaries! Congratulations on completing another year of service for the City of Radcliff Fire Department. This month we have Lt. Camron Bruce completed 9 years of service, Sgt. Martin Deaton completed 5 years of service, FF Blakely Griffin completed 2 years of service, and FF Dominik Herron completed 3 years of service. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism.

Northbound Dixie Hwy is shut down in front of Rural King due to a vehicle fire. Roadway will be opened shortly.

The City of Radcliff is thrilled to welcome our Head Start students, teachers, and families back home to their newly restored building at 788 S. Wilson Road! Following severe winter weather damage in February, the building required repairs and, were completed in time for the new school year.

Our city team was honored to celebrate this milestone at the Grand Reopening and Back-to-School event. Mayor J.J. Duvall and our Radcliff Fire and Police Departments were all on hand to show support for our kids.

Safety First: Our Radcliff Fire Department also assisted families with free child car seat safety checks to make sure our littlest residents are riding safe and secure as the new school year begins!

Thank you to the Radcliff Small Business Alliance, Radcliff Woman’s Club, and every partner who supported this reopening and made it a huge success. When Radcliff comes together, incredible things happen!

Last night, law enforcement saw some strange clouds that looked like they were rotating. Tornado?.... Just clouds?.... maybe. Severe weather, definitely! Hardin County E-911 was notified and the weather sirens were activated for Hardin County. The dispatchers sit in a room in a basement. They can only go by the information they receive from first responders. The sirens were activated out of caution. How could they not!? If this caused confusion or panic, we apologize from the emergency services community. Remember that weather sirens are to notify you when you are outdoors. You need a weather radio, cellphone notification, or any other way to receive warnings when you are indoors. Stay safe!

Today is the last 24 hour shift for Sergeant Tyler Fulkerson. He officially retires Friday. His employment was August 25, 2002 to July 31, 2026. The experience and knowledge he possessed will take years to replace. The man himself can never be replaced. It has been a joy to work with you all of these years. We wish you only the best in your retirement from the City of Radcliff Fire Department.

Our storm shelter is open if anyone needs to use it. We will keep it open until the severe weather passes.
