Today Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department members participated in two events for the Exeter Township School District.

This afternoon, crews travelled to Lorane Hollow Park to help with the fourth grade finale. Crews showed the kids the apparatus, but the highlight was cooling the kids off from the warm weather! Thanks to the APT for the hot dogs!! 🌭

In the evening, crews took part in the Exeter Senior parade! Tower 25 set up to have the Exeter Eagle flying high above the parade route. Other ETVFD apparatus escorted the seniors around Reiffton to celebrate this great accomplishment.

Exeter Seniors and ETVFD Firefighters Jesus Delvalle and Codey Eshenaur participated in the parade. 🚒

Thanks to the Exeter School District for including us in these events!

The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department had the honor of lining the streets of Exeter to honor former Reiffton Fire Company member and current Central Berks Police Officer Kristen Yeager.

Tower 25 and Tower 45 set up a great ladder arch at 34th Street and Perkiomen Avenue while other ETVFD apparatus staged at different intersections along the procession route.

Thank you to everyone in the community for coming out in force to salute the life of Officer Yeager.

The Exeter Township Volunteer Fire Department is devastated to hear about the passing of former Reiffton Fire Company member Kristen Houck.

Kristen was a firefighter with the Reiffton Fire Company for many years and served with her father and brother.

We offer our condolences to her brother, family, and Central Berks PD as they mourn this unthinkable loss.

Today, our department mourns the heartbreaking loss of Officer Kristen Yeager, who made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a call for service on May 29, 2026.

Officer Yeager served our community with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She answered the call to protect and serve each day, placing the safety of others above her own. Her commitment to her badge, her fellow officers, and the citizens she served will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Officer Yeager’s family, friends, and our entire law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Yeager. Your watch has ended, but your legacy of service and sacrifice will live on forever. We got it from here.
