Get ready to Unearth A Story at Reading Public Library this summer! 🦖

Summer@RPL is from June 13 - August 8, featuring reading and activity challenges and free community events all summer long! This year's theme is "Unearth A Story", but we won't make you dig for exciting stories or free summer fun! It's all waiting for you right here at the library.

Earn free prizes or raffle entries for even bigger prizes by reading or completing activities. Then, join us for an exciting lineup of free community events!

Mid day dance break courtesy of author Lissette Norman! She read her wonderful children's story, "Plátanos Go with Everything", and she even signed a copy for each child to take home. The story follows young Yesenia's fondness of plantains and her family's Dominican culture, so it was only fitting for the kids to dance to "Kulikitaka"!

Thank you to Lissette Norman for visiting us today, and thank you so much to United Way for the Early Literacy Grant that made this author visit possible!

Last week, our Celebrity Bartenders got behind the bar and raised over $30,000 for Reading Public Library 🤯🍻

This Thursday is our author visit with Lissette Norman at RPL Main! Lissette will read her award-winning children's story, "Plátanos Go with Everything"! After story time, families will participate in a book-themed activity inspired by Yesenia's world and the delicious traditions featured in the story.

Thank you to United Way of Berks County for making this visit possible with an early literacy grant!
