Today, CAMP Rehoboth is closed to honor Juneteenth, the annual federal holiday in the United States commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. We invite everyone to join us in honoring Juneteenth, including these great local ways to honor the day:
The Delaware Historical Society (DHS) invites people to bring their memories and memorabilita for a family history workshop highlighting experiences and memories from Jason Beach, as part of the Jason Beach Juneteenth Celebration, on Friday, June 19, from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Trap Pond State Park in Laurel.
Join the Developing Artist Collaboration (DAC) for the 2026 West Rehoboth Juneteenth Celebration, a weekend honoring the history, culture, resilience, and future of West Rehoboth’s historic Black community. On Friday, Jun. 19, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m., Central Street will come alive with live music, food trucks, oral histories from West Rehoboth families, Black artists and handmade businesses, mural tours led by the Vann family, and a special art exhibit by Kreator Mills called The Colors of You. The weekend continues with a writing workshop, and much more.
The Richard Allen Coalition, Restoration Worship Center, and Everlasting Hope Ministries are hosting the 12th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on June 20th in Georgetown, with the Parade beginning at 10am.
The City of Lewes African American Heritage Commission is hosting its 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 p.m. at George H.P. Smith Park in Lewes, DE. This is a free, family-friendly, community-wide event.
