🔵14th RD Democrats Endorse
Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall

The 14th Representative District Democratic Committee has voted to endorse Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, D-Rehoboth Beach, for reelection. The public support was given at its May 11 meeting, marking the group’s first endorsement of a Democratic candidate in the 2026 election.

Since her election to the General Assembly in 2024, Snyder-Hall has quickly emerged as a legislative leader and popular Democratic figure. Last year, she authored or co-sponsored more than 120 bills in areas ranging from reproductive health and marriage equality to public education and end-of-life options. She currently sits on seven House committees, including Economic Development, Health & Human Development, Natural Resources & Energy and Education.

The first woman to represent Delaware's 14th Representative District, Snyder-Hall began her career as a professor of political theory. She earned a PhD in political science from Rutgers University and, for twelve years, taught undergraduate and graduate students at George Mason University. Since moving to Delaware, she’s held positions as chair of the 14th RD Democratic Committee and executive director of Common Cause Delaware for five years.

In announcing the 14th RD’s endorsement, committee chair Mary Boggi remarked that the action will provide Snyder-Hall’s campaign with funding, publicity and grass-roots volunteers. “In her first term as our state representative, Claire demonstrated that she is an outstanding public servant who gets things done for our community,” says Boggi. “Now she deserves our efforts to help her continue as a conscientious legislator and Democratic leader. We’re lucky to have her representing us in Dover.”

In accepting the endorsement, Snyder-Hall stated, “I am honored to have the endorsement of the 14th Representative District Democrats. Without the backing of what is one of the strongest Democratic committees in Delaware, I would not have been successful in winning my seat in 2024. Today I hope to continue serving the residents of Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and southern Lewes.”
