The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southern Maries County in central Missouri...
Southeastern Miller County in central Missouri...
Northern Pulaski County in central Missouri...
Phelps County in east central Missouri...

* Until 115 PM CDT.

* At 1212 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Crocker, or 11 miles northwest of Waynesville, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE... Radar indicated.

IMPACT... Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Rolla, St. Robert, St. James, Dixon, Crocker, Doolittle, Newburg, Northwye, Swedeborg, Jerome, Vichy, and Rosati.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 165 and 169, and between mile markers 171 and 200.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

Applications are now being accepted. Preference will be given to those with Firefighter I & II but we will allow applications from uncertified individuals. If you have questions feel free to contact us at Station 1 which is located at 1575 East Lions Club Drive in Rolla or by phone at 573-341-2211. Deadline will be June 12. Phelps County in east central Missouri...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 610 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near St. Robert, or 7 miles east of Waynesville, moving east at 60 mph.

HAZARD... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE... Radar indicated.

IMPACT... Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Rolla, northeastern Fort Leonard Wood, St. Robert, St. James, Doolittle, Newburg, Northwye, Devil's Elbow, Jerome, and Rosati.

This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 162 and 169, and between mile markers 171 and 200.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Springfield.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for south central, central and east central Missouri.
