The Rolla Rural Firefighter Association is having a Raffle! The money received through the Association is used for the Rolla Rural Firefighters, special events, and donations to other benefits.

Recently the Firefighter Association made a donation to the Rolla Rural Fire District of 2 Stihl chainsaws from funds they have received through past events.

The current raffle is for 2 fi****ms. The first is a Thompson Center Compass 300 win mag rifle, a box of Federal Ammunition and a Weaver 3x9x40 Dual X Scope with Rings. (The Scope and rings was donated by J. Roach Fi****ms of Rolla)

The second is a Heritage Rough Rider 6 round 22 revolver and a box of Re*****on Ammunition.

There will only be 250 tickets sold and they are $20.00 a ticket.

Rolla Rural Firefighters and anyone living in their home is ineligible to win.

You must be legally eligible to own a firearm and all Federal Paperwork will be done after the drawing.

The drawing will be held on October 16 at 2:00 pm.

Pictures of the actual items being raffled will be added at a later date.

HAZARD... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT... Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Rolla, St. James, Doolittle, Newburg, Northwye, and Rosati.

Under RSMo 67.110, Missouri political subdivisions must present specific budget and assessed valuation data, hold a public hearing on proposed property tax rates, and fix their final ad valorem rates by September 1. (This is not a tax increase proposal)

Subject: Public Hearing and Ordinance Setting 2026 Tax Rate
Per RSMO 67.110

The Board is asked to consider the proposed item establishing the 2026 real estate tax levy for the Rolla Rural Fire Protection District. State Law requires that the tax rates be certified to the County Clerks by September 1. Due to the State time requirements, a first and final reading of the proposed item is requested.

Staff is recommending a motion to approve the 2026 tax rate of 0.8480.

Again this is a state mandated formality and not an increase. The public is welcome to attend.

This Missouri Department of Missouri Dept. of Conservation has notified us of a controlled burn at Little Prairie Lake off of RA Highway. This burn will be for today only.

Use caution in the area and smoke will be visible.
