🚨 STOP EVERYTHING AND LOOK AT THIS! 🚨
If you thought the Romulus Fire Department was just about putting out house fires and getting kittens out of trees, you are dead wrong. Today, we reached peak local legend status.
We’d like to introduce you to our very own Firefighter Anthony “Goose” Pegouskie. Most people go through their shift fighting fires, but not our Goose. Today, he channeled his inner feathered namesake and went full on Duck Whisperer.
That’s right FF “Goose” successfully led a daring rescue mission to save 7 tiny, fluff ball ducklings who clearly didn't get the memo that crossing the parking lots in Romulus is a high stakes extreme sport with hazards such as storm drains. 🦆💨
We aren’t saying Goose has magical aquatic powers, but we are saying we didn’t see a single hiss or an aggressive wing flap during the entire operation. He managed to round up the quack squad and get them to safety while maintaining more composure than most of us do in the breakroom when the coffee pot is empty.
We’re officially retiring the "Fireman's Carry" and replacing it with the "Duckling Es**rt" training module effective immediately.
Please share this with your families and show Father Goose some love next time you see him out of the nest!
Anthony Pegouskie
Special shoutout to resident Drew Ladach as well for his swift action and willingness to make scene with his fishing net. The great forward thinking of a recruit we hope to see in the near future wearing a Romulus uniform.
