Sachem Academy is already off to an engaging start for the 2026–27 school year! 🙌

On just the second day, students in Mr. Cully’s Contemporary Issues/Health class participated in a “speed dating” icebreaker, stepping outside their comfort zones to meet new people and share a little about themselves.

The conversations brought plenty of energy, and several teachers jumped in to join the fun! A great way to build connections and kick off a year of learning together.

As we get ready to welcome our Grundy Eagles back for another school year, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work of our custodial team — Chris, Dan, Spiros, and John! 👏👏👏

These four hardworking gentlemen have spent their summer cleaning, organizing, fixing, polishing, moving, and preparing our building to make sure Grundy Avenue Elementary is ready for our students and staff! 🏫✨

So much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their hard work makes such a BIG difference. From making our classrooms shine to ensuring our school is safe, clean, and welcoming, they have truly gone above and beyond all summer long. ❤️
