More than 200 fourth-and-fifth-grade students at Alder Creek Elementary School traded their classroom routines for an exciting hour on the basketball court Thursday, Sept. 24, as Sacramento Kings youth basketball coaches brought the Courtside Class experience to campus.

The in-person clinic gave students the opportunity to get active, learn new basketball skills, and have fun alongside Sacramento Kings youth basketball coaches.

Throughout the one-hour session, students participated in a variety of basketball skills and drills designed to get them moving, build confidence and encourage teamwork. Students of all skill levels were invited to participate, making the experience an opportunity for everyone to learn and enjoy the game.

For Alder Creek students, the experience was about more than basketball. The high-energy activities encouraged students to stay active, work together, and try something new, all while experiencing the excitement of the Sacramento Kings right on their school campus.

Thank you to Sacramento Kings for bringing the Courtside Class experience to Alder Creek Elementary and giving our students an opportunity to get active, learn new skills and create memories on the court.

Hundreds of volunteers of all ages came together Saturday, September 19, for the City of Folsom - Government 13th annual Community Service Day, lending their time and talents to projects that strengthen and beautify neighborhoods, schools and community spaces throughout Folsom.

Organized by the City of Folsom in partnership with local businesses, nonprofit organizations and community partners, Community Service Day brings people together to give back to the community they call home.

Club Rush gives students an opportunity to get connected with volunteer programs, after-school activities, school support organizations, and clubs that provide a safe space to be yourself.
With so many opportunities to explore, many students sign up for multiple clubs, build new connections and become part of the Bulldog network.

This yearโ€™s theme, โ€œTogether, We Are More. Unidos, Somos Mรกs,โ€ celebrates the power of unity and the many diverse stories, experiences, and contributions that strengthen our communities. It recognizes the importance of family, resilience, creativity, faith, and service, while honoring the voices and traditions that continue to shape our nation.
