Happy Juneteenth Freedom Day!

On Juneteenth we commemorate the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in Texas. Also known as Freedom Day, this is an important and deeply personal holiday for our community and truthfully acknowledges a period in our history that shaped and continues to influence our society today. In observance of Juneteenth, all district offices and facilities will be closed.

Dear Sac City Unified Families and Staff,

Today is the final day of school, and before you leave for a well deserved summer break, I want to congratulate all of our students on an amazing year of achievements. Special thanks to our incredible staff for their dedication to our students. I would also like to recognize and celebrate our volunteers for their constant support.

Congratulations to all of our 2026 graduates who are ready to take on the world with plans for college, a new career and trade, or military service. We are all so incredibly happy for you and proud of what you have accomplished so far. I speak for the entire school district when I say it has been an honor to be part of your educational journey.

For families returning next year for 2026-27, I want to remind you that we have a short summer this year, with our traditional calendar moving up to Tuesday, August 11 for the First Day of School.

Thank you all for a memorable 2025-26 school year. Enjoy some relaxation and fun over summer break

What a wonderful way to end the school year!

The CAC for Special Education proudly hosted its 2nd Annual End-of-Year Awards Celebration, bringing together students, families, teachers, staff, administrators, and community partners for an evening of recognition and celebration.

With the support of the FACE Department and Community Schools, families, teachers, and staff nominated students and professionals who demonstrated exemplary work, leadership, growth, and dedication throughout the 2025-2026 school year.

Guests enjoyed interactive art stations, face painting, music, food, and local resources while celebrating the incredible individuals who help make our Special Education community stronger every day.

It was truly an honor to see so many smiling faces and recognize the students, families, educators, and staff who make a difference in the lives of our children. A special thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable event possible.

Here’s to a successful school year and an even brighter one ahead! ❤️
