Grandparents Day is two weeks away! Join us for a special Grandparents Breakfast at the library to celebrate. Children and their grandparents or special older loved ones are invited to enjoy refreshments together while spending quality time with one another.

Today is World Play Music on the Porch Day! This morning, Tampa Bay Ukulele Society volunteer musicians led us in a few songs on the porch before heading inside to cool off. Thanks to everyone who made it out to sing along or even just enjoy the music!

In this hands-on workshop, Elise Pickett, local garden educator and author, introduces you to native edibles and walks you through how to grow them successfully in our unique Florida climate. Walk away with seeds, practical tips, and a whole new appreciation for what "eating local" really means.

Join us on Thursday, September 10 at 6:00 p.m. for a special screening of the documentary The Sunshine Skyway Bridge Disaster, chronicling one of the most tragic events in Florida history. Following the 70-minute film, stay for a Q&A session with Bob Raiola, one of the first responders who played a vital role in the recovery efforts after the disaster.

Don't miss our lineup of great programs this weekend (plus Monday)!
🎶On Saturday, August 29 at 10:30 a.m. join us outside of the library for World Play Music on the Porch Day! Then cool down inside with a fun Ukulele jam along by Tampa Bay Ukulele Society volunteer musicians and enjoy some icy summer treats.
📕On Sunday, August 30 at 1:00 p.m., we will be exploring Clearwater's past with the Clearwater Historical Society. Join us for an engaging presentation by Allison Dolan, President of the Clearwater Historical Society, as she shares A Short History of Clearwater.
✍️On Monday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m., there is a creative writing workshop with local author Laura Kepner. From Idea to Page: Building Better Writing is a one-hour workshop where we'll cut through the noise and focus on what actually matters: the tools, instincts, and choices that make your writing stand out.
None of these programs require registration, we hope to see you at one or all of them!
