Back in May, we were honored to be named the 2026 Small Business of the Year for California Assembly District 29. Although our founder, Jesús Ruvalcaba, couldn’t attend the ceremony in Sacramento, Assembly Speaker Speaker Robert Rivas personally stopped by our office last week to present him with an Assembly Resolution.

It was an incredibly meaningful moment for our entire team.

Paper Tacos began with a mission to create greeting cards that celebrate Latino culture, humor, and tradition. Today, our cards are reaching families and communities far beyond our hometown, and none of it would be possible without our customers, team members, retail partners, and supporters.

Thank you for believing in what we’re building. We’re proud to represent our community and excited for everything still ahead. 🌮💌

Never Again is Now.

Proud to stand with courageous Japantown community leaders, Representative Zoe Lofgren, Assemblymembers Ash Kalra and Patrick Ahrens, the San Jose Nikkei Resisters, the Silicon Valley Asian Pacific American Democratic Club (SVAPADC), and many others in Gilroy yesterday to oppose the proposed ICE detention center in the city and to honor those killed in ICE custody.

Donald Trump’s campaign of targeted fear doesn’t make Americans safer. It only weakens the very communities that make America stronger.
