This spring, 18,029 participants provided feedback on the proposed renaming of César Chávez Blvd. 64% of respondents supported changing the name back to Durango Blvd. Among residents living on César Chávez Blvd., 79% expressed support for Durango Blvd.

This week, crews began updating City street signs and expect to complete the work by the end of the month. Traffic impacts during the sign replacements should be minimal.

Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. is now Durango Blvd.! 🚧

Introducing our newest Adopt-A-Spot group – Alamo Battalion, US Navel Sea Cadet Corps! 70 cadets cleaned up a truckload worth of trash along Walters Street leading up to Joint Base San Antonio.

🎦Segments of Broadway (Brooklyn to Roy Smith) will be closed this Friday (9/18) morning from 6:30am-9:00am for filming in cooperation with San Antonio Film Commission. Two blocks will be closed at a time and SAPD officers will be directing traffic.

👀Hildebrand Update (9/14): Repaving is complete! Over the coming weeks, two-way traffic will be maintained as crews make utility adjustments and install pavement markings.

The reflective "tabs" you see on the road now are temporary until permanent striping and delineators can be installed on Hildebrand from San Pedro to McCullough.
