Senior leaders from across the 960th Cyberspace Wing gathered in San Antonio, Texas, for the second iteration of Gladiator Nexus.

As the Air Force Reserve’s only cyberspace wing, this strategic checkpoint allowed our geographically separated leaders to align priorities, sync objectives, and strengthen our posture as a cohesive, combat-ready force.

Senior leader engagements connected the 960th Cyberspace Wing’s Reserve Citizen Airmen with priorities shaping the Department of the Air Force cyber mission.

During separate visits, Lt. Gen. Thomas K. Hensley, commander of Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber), discussed readiness, force structure and operational integration, while Department of the Air Force Chief Information Officer Ashley Devoto met with wing leaders and subject-matter experts to examine enterprise modernization and requirements affecting Reserve cyber forces.

These engagements helped bridge national-level strategy and tactical ex*****on while showcasing how the wing combines military excellence with civilian-sector innovation to deliver combat-ready cyber forces for the Total Force.

Leaders of the 960th Cyberspace Wing converged in San Antonio, Texas from March 9-11 for Gladiator Nexus 2026, a strategic planning event that aligns priorities and empower an efficient, accessible force for the cyberspace mission. The event served a significant forum to ensure the wing stands ready to provide full-spectrum cyber capabilities in an increasingly dynamic threat environment.

TSgt Nicholas Kaser is a critical SME for the 23d Combat Communications Squadron, whose expertise has been instrumental in the squadron's success during key exercises such as PATRIOT FURY in Peru, BALIKATAN in the Philippines, and the European Deterrence Initiative (EDI) in Ramstein, Germany. Forged by a 13-year career in combat communications across multiple MAJCOMs, he is a highly capable warfighter who has consistently demonstrated versatile mastery of mission-critical systems, including IT, servers, networking, RF, power generation, and HVAC.

As a dedicated member of the US Air Force Reserve, TSgt Hunter N. Pierce proudly serves as a Cyber Defense Operator with the 854th Combat Operations Squadron, where he plays a critical role in safeguarding the nation's cyberspace domain from emerging threats. His responsibilities include monitoring, detecting, and defending against unauthorized activity on the AF/DODIN networks in conjunction with cyber mission teams, ensuring mission-essential systems remain secure and operational at all times. Alongside his commitment to national defense, he balances his duty with his responsibilities as a full-time student and father, demonstrating resilience and dedication that define a Citizen Airman.

He leads a team responsible for ensuring seamless deployment, configuration, and management of endpoint devices within the $14 billion Air Force Network. They support 900k users and 921k systems across Air Force MAJCOMs.
