The stories of our neighbors deserve to be documented and told. And most of all, they deserve accountability and justice.

Non-profits such as Texas Civil Rights Project, Hispanic Federation, Latino Victory, and many others have taken it upon themselves to document live testimony from families affected by the horrific actions of ICE and the Trump administration. Justice cannot erase their pain or restore the time lost to grief, but it is the first step toward healing.

Thank you for ensuring these voices are heard and for giving the people the opportunity to share their experience. It’s up to all of us to continue using our collective energy to restore a community where every neighbor belongs and is treated with dignity.

Little Joe Y La Familia inspired millions. His music gave hope to generations of Texans, including the families of farmworkers who grew up listening to his songs while working in the fields. Today, he’s continuing that work through the Little Joe & Cris Hernandez Legacy Scholarship Foundation.

It was an honor to spend the evening celebrating all he has given our community. The Foundation is changing lives by investing in scholarships, mentorships, and community programs. Proud to call you a friend, Little Joe, and grateful to see your impact continue for generations to come.

Stories have a way of bringing people together, and we must invest in them for generations to come.

As mayor, I was proud to work with producers and the San Antonio film community to reestablish our city’s production support plan—and we’re seeing the work come to life. This year, it was an honor to participate in the SA Film Festival by moderating a panel with Erika and Andrew McCarthy on his documentary, Brats.

Thank you to Adam Rocha and the entire San Antonio Film Festival team for continuing to invest in San Antonio’s film community. Here’s to the storytellers, filmmakers, and creatives who keep San Antonio’s arts and industry moving forward.

Truly appreciated the conversation about advocacy, the power of our stories, and the importance of taking care of ourselves so we can keep serving our communities and doing the work. Moments like these serve as a reminder of why I got involved in public service in the first place.

100 days. That’s all that’s left until Texans decide what’s next.

Now is the time to roll up our sleeves, put in the work, and elect leaders who are ready to deliver.

It was great to join Rep. Vikki Goodwin to discuss the future of Texas. From protecting our elections to improving public transportation connections that strengthen our economy and better connect our communities—we share a vision for a state that works for everyone.

I’m proud to support Vikki for Lieutenant Governor. If Texans give us the opportunity this November, I look forward to working alongside her to deliver real results for Bexar County and our state.
