Know a young person who wants to make a difference in San Francisco? Or are you ready to make your own voice heard?

Applications are now open for the Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) Cohort, a paid leadership opportunity for San Francisco youth ages 16-24.

From August through December, participants will build leadership skills, learn how local government works, and work with DCYF to engage young people in the Community Needs Assessment. YEP members will gather feedback from youth across San Francisco to help inform future planning, funding priorities, and services for children, youth and families.

✔️ Cohort takes place from August to December 2026
✔️ $5,000 stipend for eligible participants
✔️ Applications due by Sunday, August 16
✔️ Group interviews on August 19 and 21
