CALIFORNIA STATE SHERIFFS’ ASSOCIATION ELECTS NEW OFFICERS FOR 2026-2027
On Monday, April 20, 2026, the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) held its 132nd Annual Conference Installation Ceremony. CSSA was honored to have the Honorable Brett Bianco swear in CSSA’s new slate of officers for 2026-2027.
CSSA is pleased to announce that the following Sheriffs will lead the organization:
President: Sheriff Chad Bianco, Riverside County
1st Vice President: Sheriff Ian Parkinson, San Luis Obispo County
2nd Vice President: Sheriff Shannan Moon, Nevada County
Secretary: Sheriff Jim Cooper, Sacramento County
Treasurer: Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue, Siskiyou County
Sergeant–at–Arms: Sheriff Kelly Martinez, San Diego County
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said, “I am incredibly honored to serve as the next president for the California State Sheriffs’ Association (CSSA) and thankful for this opportunity. As the collective voice for California’s sheriffs, CSSA is a leader in the efforts to ensure that our communities are safe for everyone. That is vitally important work, and as the president of CSSA, I look forward to contributing to that effort.”
The California State Sheriffs’ Association is a nonprofit professional organization comprised of the 58 elected sheriffs. The mission of CSSA is to support the role of sheriff as the chief law enforcement officer in each California County and to speak as a collective voice on matters of public safety.
