On behalf of the Santee Sioux Nation Tribal Police Department and as requested from the Isanti Community School, we would like to inform the community and give an update on the situations that have occurred within the school. The sexual misconduct allegations are being investigated by tribal law enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. With multiple agencies involved we want to ensure that all information that is shared is accurate and up to date. Please be patient with law enforcement as this process takes time.

If individuals need to report any child abuse and neglect regarding the sexual misconduct at the Isanti Community School, please contact the Knox County Dispatch to have the tribal law enforcement officer working this case contact you.

We hope that everyone had a wonderful time during the Halloween festivities last month! Officer James, Officer Beaudette, and Chief Henry participated in the 8th annual trunk or treat at the Santee Health Center, which was well-attended by over 200 children. We were also honored to provide candy bags for the Santee Sioux Nation Headstart and Takoja Tipi Daycare for their trick-or-treating event in the tribal building. The best time of year! We are looking forward to next year!

For officer assistance, emergency situations require a 911 call. Non-emergency situations can be reported by calling (402) 288-4261, connecting you to a Knox County dispatcher who will notify the on-duty officer. Please avoid direct messaging officers as it delays response times.

We do not have an office worker to answer calls being made to the Police Department.
