Looking to get away and head to one of our state parks? State parks are now open with some new guidelines from Governor Greg Abbott.

As part of the continued reopening of Texas announced by Governor Abbott on April 27, masks and face coverings are now strongly encouraged in state parks, but not required. Also, state parks are now allowing day-use by families with more than 5 people. However, the five-person limit is still in place for groups that are not part of the same family or household, and social distancing standards and other health guidelines still apply.

State parks are still open for day-use only and advance reservations are required. Overnight camping will resume at a later date to be determined. Please check the status of your park at http://bit.ly/AlertsMap

To Whom it May Concern: One of the slides at Pickrell Park is damaged with a large fracture. It’s the playground near Poplar Ave. and 1518. Thank you
$7K REWARD for the return of our 2 Missing Golden Retrievers! They were lost by the Rover sitter on June 18th at the address 18385 Babcock Rd, San Antonio TX running toward Camp Bullis Rd and the Lutheran HS. Acoria is 7 years old, 80-90lbs and wearing a pink Star Wars collar. Ripley is 4 years old, 70lbs and wearing a purple polka dot collar. Both had our info on their tags. Both are micro-chipped and spayed (green tattoos on their bellies). If you have found, seen or know where they are, we beg of you to call us.. Thank you. https://www.facebook.com/BringAcoriaandRipleyhome/
Honestly, can anyone explain what is going on at Ashley Park?? The park has been closed since the middle of May with a projected end date of July. Nearly every detail from the basketball court to the new sidewalks to this weird rock wall detaining foot traffic have all been done TWICE! The new playground equipment is minimal compared to what used to be there and the kids have been without their park for almost the WHOLE summer!! We can barely use the walking track! From the sidewalk design to the efficiency of completing the "upgrades," this has been the sketchiest construction I've ever watched... Two weeks left in July. We'll see what actually transpires, though I imagine it will be tough to complete with only 4 guys or so working 2-3 hours every other day while swapping out on smoke breaks. Oh, and btw, the water fountain near the bathrooms has what appears to be a swift and constant water leak at the base beneath the slab. I'm pretty sure there's not supposed to be constant running water under a water fountain.
Our oldest friend Dale has gone missing in Schertz. Last seen off of colony road.. please help us find him. He’s very old and blind so needs special attention. Has been missing since the 3rd, and the shelter does not have him. Thank you! Please share if possible.
Love the new billboard flying high above Fire Station 2 on 35SB. Looks great!
Spring is around the corner and the Texas Diamondbacks 12U softball team out of the NE area is looking to add a few more players (DOB 2006/2007) to add to our roster. Contact Coach Gonzalez via message, text at (210)620-6187 or e-mail at [email protected]. Come be a part of hard working young athletes. If your daughter is a pitcher don't be alarmed as pitching time will be shared so her field skills can improve as well. Player commitment in attending team practices and events is a must.
When will the basketball goals at Pickrell Park be fixed?
Any idea when the basketball hoops will be up by Pickrell Park? My son is asking me daily.

I thought the pools were supposed to be open? We drove by the Pickrell Park pool yesterday and it was closed.
FYI there is a wet unidentifiable white substance at the entrance to one of the toys on the playscape next to the library. This is a cause for safety concerns and it is also getting spread onto the play structure from children stepping in it and climbing the toy.
