Meet the Voice Behind the Phone ☎️
Meet Caleb, ASHA's new Office Assistance/File Clerk! You may have already spoken to him over the phone, but we asked him some questions so our residents and community can get to know him better!
Q: How long have you been with ASHA?
A: My start date was 8/3, so about 5 weeks now.
Q: What does your role as receptionist involve?
A: My role as the receptionist involves assisting any coworker with work-related tasks, greeting and welcoming any person who walks in the front lobby whether they are a resident or looking to become one, and answering the phone or emails that come through the front desk.
Q: What is one thing you enjoy most about being the first point of contact with residents and guests?
A: My favorite part is matching faces to the names that I often see come through the office. I like getting to meet the residents or applicants (I usually only see the names of the people we help)
Q: When you’re not answering phones or helping residents, what can we usually find you doing?
A: Filing papers, sorting through incoming mail, more than likely, stamping and logging outgoing mail.
Q: What’s a hobby or interest you could talk about for hours?
A: I could talk about movies, comic books, art, anything Disney related! I grew up loving Marvel and Disney, so if you really want to get me to talk, just mention one of the two.
Q: What’s one piece of advice that has stuck with you throughout your life?
A: Well, I don’t know if this counts as advice, but my name, Caleb, means “whole heartedly” in Hebrew. So, I try to apply that to everything I do in life. I strive to do everything with intention and meaning, big or small. It helps in times where I can get lazy or negative towards something, I just hold on to that meaning and keep moving forward.
Welcome to the ASHA team, Caleb!
