Happy Caturday from Ula, Pumpkin Spice and Rick! These three lovely kitties are available for adoption at the Sitka Animal Shelter 🐾

Rick, 10 years old 🐱
Rick is the full package! This handsome boy is sweet, playful, loving, easygoing, and outdoorsy. Rick loves sitting on laps, gazing out the window, playing with toys and hanging out with other cats 🩵

Ula, 7 years old 🐱
Ula is looking for a lap to sit on and a pile of blankets to cuddle up in! 🩷 She loves head scratches, being cozy, and watching birds out the window. Ula would do best as the only cat in her new home.

Pumpkin Spice, 7 years old 🐱
Pumpkin Spice is looking for a cozy home and a human to be the boss of! 🧡 She loves catnip, chasing toys, and bird watching. Pumpkin is sweet and spicy - she loves being around people but is not afraid to let you know when she’s had enough. Pumpkin would do best in a home without young kids or other cats.

Update: Sinbad has found a new home!!! He had an amazing day on Saturday!! He hiked to heart lake and was groomed by Salty Paws!!! Now he is looking so handsome for his new family!!!

Sitka Citizens: Playgrounds are NOT OFF LEASH Areas for dogs!!! The keeper of any dog shall keep the dog under leash restraint at all times and shall not permit the dog to be off leash in all areas except those designated as “off-leash areas.”

Attention Residents in the area of the 3400-3500 block of HPR and Toivo Circle: Please keep your dogs secure in your residence or on your property. There have been many reports of multiple dogs running at large in other people's yards and in the street.
8.05.080 Objectionable animals (Fines start at $25)
B. The keeper of any animal shall not permit the animal to defecate on private property, other than that of the animal’s keeper, or on public property, without afterward cleaning up the f***s as provided in SGC 8.05.092. The keeper shall not permit the animal to dig upon or damage private property, other than that of the animal’s keeper, or upon public property.
8.05.031 Restraint requirements (Fines start at $25) A. The keeper of any dog shall keep the dog under leash restraint at all times and shall not permit the dog to be off leash in all areas except those designated as “off-leash areas.”
B. All dogs or other domestic animals found running at large may be impounded in the animal shelter. The keeper or custodian of the domestic animal shall be responsible should the domestic animal be in violation of this section. The city and borough shall post signs informing the public of the leash law.

Attention Sitka! It's Kitten season!! If you see kittens outside in your neighborhood, please call us at the shelter 907-966-5768. Please do not disturb them until they are 5-7 weeks of age, see chart below!
