There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection on Monday, September 7th due to the Labor Day holiday. Collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.

Please be advised, the Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Smithfield Town Council Meeting will be held at the Smithfield Senior Center, 1 William J. Hawkins Jr. Trail, Smithfield, RI 02828 starting at 7:00 PM.

IMPORTANT PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION:

The 2026 Primary Election is Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Early voting in the Town Hall starts on Thursday, August 20th through Tuesday, September 8th and follows Town Hall hours.

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesdays 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Fridays 8:30 am -12:00 pm

The Town Hall will not be open on Monday, September 7th in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The last day of early voting on Tuesday, September 8th ends at 4:00pm.
