Early Voting & Last Day to Register for State Primary
Saturday, August 22, 2026
The Town Clerk's Office will be holding in-person early voting starting Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 9am until 5pm in the Town Hall Auditorium. These are also the last hours to register as a voter or change a party for the September 1st, 2026, State Primary.

In-person early voting will continue the week of August 24-28 from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

How to answer Ballot Question 9 in November?

Question 9 is a referendum on the 2024 gun reform law (Chapter 135). A “Yes” vote would keep the 2024 law in place. A “No” vote would repeal it.

The 2024 law expanded restrictions on certain fi****ms, created a registration system, required serial numbers on more guns, and made other changes to licensing and extreme risk protection orders.

Supporters of the law say these measures improve public safety and help prevent gun violence.

Opponents say the law goes too far, burdens law-abiding gun owners, and infringes on Second Amendment rights.

I’m voting “NO” to repeal Chapter 135. Law-abiding citizens should not face additional restrictions that do little to stop criminals while making it harder for responsible people to exercise their rights.
