Duck, Duck, Goose
Carter is an avid collector of hand-carved duck, goose, and swan decoys. He attends auctions and shows across the country, both in person and online, in search of unique additions to his collection.
Each display case collection is accompanied by notecards identifying the carvers and the locations where the decoys were made. Carter can likely share the history behind every piece and the craftsmen who created them. The collection features decoys ranging from the early 1900s to pieces carved within the last 20 to 30 years, representing a wide range of styles and values.
Also included in the display is a book featuring an interview with Carter, along with photographs of his collection at home.
