We are dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by providing services and programs to protect, educate, and empower.

💜 JOIN OUR TEAM: SHELTER ADVOCATE (Full-Time) 💜

Looking to make a direct impact in your community? Project Woman is hiring a Shelter Advocate to provide trauma-informed support, safety planning, and crisis line coverage for survivors residing in our emergency shelter.

The Details:
💰 Pay: $16.50/hr. ($17.00/hr. after 90 days)
⏰ Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs./wk.) | 1st, 2nd, & 3rd shifts available
📍 Location: Secure Shelter Setting (On-Site)
✨ Perks: Health, dental, & vision options, paid professional development, and support obtaining Registered Advocate (RA) licensing!

What You’ll Do:

Provide direct survivor support, safety planning, and daily living assistance.

Deliver crisis intervention via our 24/7 Crisis Line and support shelter intakes/exits.

Foster a safe, communal living environment for adult and child survivors.

What We’re Looking For:

Associate degree in human services OR equivalent work/lived experience.

Background or strong interest in crisis intervention and survivor support (shelter experience preferred).

Strong boundaries, empathy, and the ability to stay calm in crisis situations.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re inviting local businesses and community leaders to stand with us as sponsors for our annual signature gala: Unmasking Hope: A Masquerade Gala! 🎭💜

In 2025 alone, Project Woman provided critical, lifesaving services to 1,899 survivors across Clark, Champaign, and Madison Counties. Every dollar raised through sponsorship provides flexible funding for emergency housing, transportation, safety items, and relocation assistance when survivors need it most.

🏢 Sponsorship Levels & Benefits:
• Unmasking Hope Presenting Sponsor ($5,000): VIP seating, reserved 8-person table, event display feature, social media shoutout & program listing.
• Champion of Courage ($2,500): Reserved 8-person table, event recognition, social media shoutout & program listing.
• Guardian Behind the Mask ($1,000): 4 tickets, event recognition, social media shoutout & program listing.
• Purple Ribbon Advocate ($500): 2 tickets, social media shoutout & program listing.
