What an incredible week for the Owls! 🦉

Students from The Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience (CSMB) represented Saint Louis Public Schools on the national stage at the National Speech & Debate Tournament, competing alongside some of the nation's most talented student speakers and performers.

A special congratulations to Libby Garrett, who earned an impressive 8th-place national finish in Storytelling and was named an Octo-finalist in Humorous Interpretation (HI). We also celebrate Alexa Rojas, who placed 53rd in Storytelling, and Rowan Sigler, who placed 60th among more than 240 competitors nationwide.

This year's tournament also marked a first National Speech & Debate Tournament appearance for Audra Davis and Noah Jacob, who competed in Congressional Debate. While neither advanced to the final rounds, both gained valuable experience and proudly represented CSMB throughout the week.

Beyond the competition, students connected with peers from across the country, sharpened their skills, built lasting friendships, and showcased the talent, dedication, and determination that make SLPS students shine.

Congratulations to all of our competitors, coaches, and families for an unforgettable season. We are incredibly proud of these students and all they accomplished this year.

SLPS has received final environmental testing results for the Central Office facility.

Testing found no viable Legionella in drinking water samples, and cooling tower levels were well below established guidance thresholds. The district continues precautionary maintenance and preparation efforts and currently expects staff to return to the building on July 6.

Big imaginations. Powerful stories. Endless creativity. ✨

Third and fourth grade students from four Saint Louis Public Schools elementary schools recently teamed up with Story Pirates for a one of a kind creative writing experience inspired by the group’s popular podcast.

Students explored storytelling through writing workshops and saw their original ideas come to life in an even bigger way this year with illustrations created alongside DreamWorks artists.

Thanks to the support of the St. Louis Education Fund, every student received a printed copy of the book featuring their work.

We are proud to celebrate the voices, creativity, and imagination of our SLPS students.

State Champions! 🏆

The students of Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience delivered an unforgettable performance at the Missouri Class 3A State Track and Field Championship.

The boys team captured the State Championship in the 4x800 meter relay with an outstanding performance by Clyve Jackson-Cameron, Evan Moll, Melik Pratt, and Owen Garrett. Owen Garrett also earned an individual State Championship title with a 1st place finish in the 800 meter race.

Collegiate continued to shine with two 2nd place finishes from Maxwell McFarlane in both the triple jump and long jump.

The team finished the meet as the overall Class 3A Boys State Champions, earning more points than any other school in the competition.

This achievement is a powerful example of what dedication, perseverance, and teamwork can accomplish. We are incredibly proud of these student athletes and grateful to everyone who supported them throughout the season.
