Sometimes independence looks quiet.
A child chooses their work.
Finds their place.
Settles in.
Tries again.
And slowly, that little inner voice grows:
“I can do this.”
In a Montessori classroom, moments like this matter. Children are not just completing an activity. They are practicing focus, patience, confidence, and care for their own learning.
At City Garden, our guides are close by, observing, encouraging, and offering support when it’s needed. With two caring adults in every classroom, children have room to grow while still feeling known.
That’s a beautiful thing to watch.
