The Maplewood Richmond Heights (MRH) Cross Country Team is out right now serving up ice-cold, homemade lemonade and delicious sweet treats! 🏃‍♂️💨

They’re only here for ONE MORE HOUR (wrapping up at 4 PM today!), so sprint on over to the MRH Middle School entrance before it’s all gone! 👟✨ Every cup and cookie goes directly toward supporting our awesome runners this season.

Our nutrition services director was excited to learn that these new kitchen components for the High School were delivered this morning! Our returning students and staff members won't recognize the place. But our kitchen workers will definitely enjoy serving our community with modern, efficient equipment.

Debate Team Keeps Working Over Summer Break!

Five members of the Speech and Debate Team spent seven days competing at the National Speech and Debate Association’s National Championship in Richmond, VA. Dizzy Funke, Vallon Sutton, Martin Colvin, Vanya Shchukin, and Jane Bolen represented the Blue Devils.

Shortly after returning from Nationals, four MRH students attended the two-week Missouri State Debate Institute. Jane and Vanya, along with Kaelyn Krysowaty and Paisley Warzel, practiced with the coaches of the Missouri State University college team and students from across the nation. Jane and Vanya reached the final round of the camp tournament; Jane was voted top speaker of the tournament.

Rising senior Alex Fuoss recently competed in the mascot race at the HOKA Festival of Miles Meet at Saint Louis University High. It was a first for MRH's Blue Devil. He finished 7th.

On their very first day of summer break, MRH debaters who qualified for the National Championship Tournament were back at school for practice. For this session, Coach McCollum brought in special guests to provide feedback. MRH Alumni and KU Debater, Nate Boyle, was joined by Dr. Akin Owoso, Director of Psychiatric Medicine at Washington University Medical School. Dr. Owoso, a former debater, offered to help debaters Vanya Shchukin, Jane Bolen, Vallon Sutton, and Martin Colvin prepare for Nationals.
