Due to the recent fatal traffic accidents in Lemay we would like to share again the planned safety improvements that are forthcoming. We ask for everyone’s safety, to please obey all traffic laws and do not allow yourself to be distracted while driving.

The Lemay community has limited political representation unlike municipalities. The fire district is always open to suggestions to make our community safer, so please let us know if you have a suggestion.

First Responder of Year - Lemay Fire Protection District

Lieutenant Medical Officer Glen Barton is a dedicated firefighter/paramedic known for his leadership, technical skill, and unwavering commitment to the community. With over a decade of frontline experience, he remains calm under pressure, guiding his team through high-risk situations with precision and care. Glen specializes in critical care paramedicine, instructs American Heart Association classes for his crews, and trains students during ride-alongs, consistently emphasizing teamwork and clear communication. Beyond emergency operations, he teaches fire prevention, CPR, and AED programs for schools and community groups. Outside of his professional service, Glen is supported by his wife, Shauna, and is a proud father to his children, Zathan and Zuri.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Barton, who will be honored at the Annual Awards & Dinner Auction Gala on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the River City Casino & Hotel Event Center.
