We’re honored to welcome the Emily Whitehead Foundation to the Capitol on Tuesday to mark Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day 2026.
The Whitehead family established the Emily Whitehead Foundation in 2015, three years after Emily became the first child with cancer to successfully receive CAR T-cell therapy. Since then, the foundation has helped over 45,000 individuals access advanced therapies worldwide and raised more than $4.5 million in research. Today, the foundation supports patients and caregivers affected by cancer and rare diseases, and advocates for all patients who can be treated with advanced therapies.
The foundation runs events year-round, so visit www.emilywhiteheadfoundation.com to learn more. To learn more about Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day, visit www.fightcancer.org/pennsylvania-cancer-action-day-2026.
