Local Help Needed: Hope For Boston's Homeless and the teens at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro North have partnered up to collect & assemble women’s care packages. There is a donation drop-off box located at the front desk of BGC Teen Center at 79 Central St.
The teens will help organize and assemble the care packages, including writing encouraging notes for women in need.

🗣️ Your Voice. Your Community. Your Health.

What makes a community healthy and strong? Your voice is part of the answer.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has launched the 2026 Community Health Equity Survey, and Massachusetts residents age 12 and older are invited to participate.

The anonymous survey asks about experiences and priorities related to things that affect our health and well-being, including:

🏠 Housing

🩺 Health care

🚌 Transportation

💼 Employment

🎓 Education

🤝 Community and social connections

💚 Mental health and well-being

Older adults age 60+ are an important community DPH wants to hear from. Your experiences can help provide a clearer picture of what residents need and where resources, programs, and public health action are most needed.

The survey takes about 15–30 minutes, is voluntary and anonymous, and is available in multiple languages.

📣 Take the survey and make your voice count:

The survey is open through November 2026.

COAs and community organizations: Please share this opportunity with the older adults, caregivers, families, and community members you serve

Today, we are excited to share that we have a new name! Mystic Valley Elder Services is now Mystic Valley Aging Services. We made the change because we support adults with disabilities and caregivers of all ages, in addition to older adults. In addition, many older adults don’t feel that the word senior or elder fits them.

Although our name has changed, our commitment to our 11 communities is the same. Our team and our services won’t change. You can still reach us with the same phone numbers and email addresses. You’ll see some changes to our website, as we’ll be updating it to provide a better online experience.

We’re grateful to everyone who’s trusted us and supported us over the past 50 years. And we’re looking forward to our next chapter as Mystic Valley Aging Services, empowering people and supporting their independence. To learn more, visit www.mves.org/introducing-our-new-name
