🚨🚨Hey parents! We love that kids are out of the house and enjoying their summer, hanging out with friends, and being normal teens, but we have to address the disrespectful and concerning behavior of many students who have been frequenting Swenson's on the weekends. Please talk to your teens about behavior in large groups, or considering directing them to hang out in smaller groups as summer break comes to an end. Even better, if your kiddo wants to grab a burger at Swenson's with friends, why not tag along? Teenagers love hanging out with their parents in public! 😉Thank you for your assistance!

A resident in the 4500 block of Fishcreek Road called us yesterday to report finding a ferret in his apartment that did not belong there. Our ACO picked up the little guy and transported him to Rubber City Rescue to be held there until he can be returned to his owner. If you’re missing your ferret and think this one might be yours, please contact Rubber City Rescue at 330-212-1670. You will need to provide proof of ownership to claim.

🚨🚨We are pleased to announce the promotion of Eldin Beganovic to the rank of sergeant! Sgt. Beganovic joined Stow PD in January of 2021. He is the Northeast Ohio coordinator for the Special Olympic Torch Run, and has been one of our top performing Field Training Officers over the past few years, rotationally training nearly every new officer we have hired in the past couple of years. He is a dependable trainer and has demonstrated great leadership during his time here at Stow PD. Congratulations Sarge!!🎉🎉

🚨🚨And we thrilled to announce that for the first time ever, our agency has exclusively hired officers to serve as School Resource Officers. We want to thank our Council Members, (especially Kelly Coffey for her initiative on this endeavor), and our Stow Munroe Falls school representatives as well for their prompting, collaboration, and support in arriving at this day! ⭐

By dedicating officers specifically to our schools, we are investing in stronger partnerships, safer learning environments, and positive connections with the next generation.💪 These SROs will be in our Stow elementary schools.🏫
