Stow Cleanup

Stow Cleanup The Stow Cleanup is held annually in the spring to pick up trash and garbage around the town of Stow, Massachusetts.

The Stow Cleanup Group was created in 2009 to clean up the litter around the Town of Stow, Massachusetts. The original steering committee included founder, Sandy Taft, Tara Taft, Marie Guiles, Chris Spear, Janet Moffat, David Cobb, and Jean Lynch. In 2010, the Group was joined by Jean Caviness. Originally an Earth Day event, the cleanup date was moved to early April to avoid school vacation weeken

ds and, hopefully, poison ivy. The Group meets two or three times in February and March to plan for the spring event. Special thanks to Ace Hardware, Boy Scouts, the Stow Highway Department, and the Stow Police Department for providing supplies and equipment each year and for the over 160 volunteers who help us clean up our town.

Please note: a portion of the Bradley Lane Parking lot at Town Forest will be temporarily closed for construction for approximately one week. A new cistern is being installed thanks to State funding for the Stow Fire Department cisterns by Representative Hogan. The new cistern will provide a crucial water source for forest fire and the surrounding neighborhood. Plenty of trail user parking will still be available!
