1 day down. 181 days to go. 🌪️

Hurricane Season has officially started, and unlike our unread emails, this is something we should probably stay on top of.

It's a great time to review your preparedness checklist, refresh your supplies, and sign up for emergency notifications so you can stay up to date on evacuation notices, water contamination issues and other notices to keep you and your family safe.

Over the weekend, Sugar Land Fire Department hosted the LoneStar Truck Academy, bringing together departments from the Houston area and firefighters across Texas.

The training focused on truck company operations, including how crews use aerial ladders to access upper floors, perform rescues, ventilate buildings, and support firefighters working inside a structure fire.

These are complex skills that take practice and coordination. We were happy to have the opportunity to train alongside so many departments committed to improving their craft.

Thank you to the instructors and participating crews for a great weekend of training.
