The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency (CRTPA) will hold two public meetings regarding the US 90 West Trail Feasibility Study in Gadsden County on June 17 & 18 (details below).

The study is being conducted to evaluate the feasibility of constructing a paved 10- to 12-foot-wide multi-use trail along US 90, connecting Chattahoochee and Quincy as part of the region’s expanding trail network. The proposed trail would extend approximately 22 miles, from River Landing Road in Chattahoochee to SR 12 at the Quincy Bypass (Julia Munroe Woodward Highway).

The meetings are scheduled as follows:

Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Chattahoochee City Hall

Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Gadsden County Commission Chambers

The purpose of these meetings is to provide community members with an opportunity to learn more about the US 90 West Trail Feasibility Study, review the trail alternatives under consideration, and share feedback. CRTPA representatives and project team members will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The same information will be presented at both meetings.

The Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency (CRTPA) will host a series of meetings (both in-person and virtual) to provide the public the opportunity to learn about the transportation projects in the CRTPA region (Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, and Wakulla counties) that have received funding, as well as the agency’s proposed project priorities. The Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 – FY 2031 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) and FY 2028 – FY 2032 Project Priority Lists (PPLs) are scheduled to be adopted at the June 15, 2026, CRTPA Board meeting.

Additionally, representatives from StarMetro will provide information on that agency’s update to the Transit Development Plan.

The meetings will focus on the transportation projects in the CRTPA region (Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon and Wakulla counties) that have received funding, as well as the agency’s proposed project priorities for the region. The following provides a background on the TIP and PPLs:

The TIP identifies transportation projects (including roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and aviation) located within the Capital Region that have received mostly state and federal funding. To view and comment on funded projects visit the CRTPA’s Interactive Tip Tool.
The PPLs are adopted annually and identify the agency’s regional transportation priorities for projects seeking state and federal funds.
