Join the Tallahassee Bar Association on August 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the FSU College of Law for a special CLE featuring Terry Lewis, former judge and author of Perceptions of Justice.

Terry Lewis was a Florida trial judge for three decades, presiding over a variety of civil and criminal cases, including such high-profile and controversial cases as the Bush/Gore election contest, parental notification for abortion, and congressional re-districting. He is now in private practice, focusing on arbitration and mediation. He also is an adjunct professor at the FSU College of Law and helps edit Ehrhardt’s Florida Evidence. The law has not only been his profession; it is the canvas on which he draws his characters, the backdrop against which he tells their stories. Terry particularly likes to explore that ethical ambiguity that resides in the conflict between law and morality.

Terry has served as a board member of the Mystery Writers of America, Florida Chapter, and as a member of the advisory board for the Florida Book Awards. He lives in Tallahassee with his wife, Fran, a former guidance counselor and their Border Collie mix, Pepper. Terry likes to relax with a good game of tennis or basketball, a good book, or film.
