TTFD crews recently sharpened their forcible entry skills during training led by Captain Blethen, exploring techniques for drop bars, steel doors, padlocks, chains, deadbolts, and through-the-lock methods.

On the fireground, there’s rarely just one way in. Successful firefighters adapt, overcome challenges, and find the best solution for the situation at hand.

As Captain Blethen reminded crews, β€œYou can’t deviate from Plan A if you never had a Plan A.”

Continuous training helps ensure our crews are ready to adapt when seconds matter most.

EMS Week – Save-A-Life Day

Today is Save-A-Life Day, a reminder that bystanders are often the first link in the chain of survival before emergency crews arrive.

Learning CPR, Stop the Bleed techniques, and other basic lifesaving skills can help save a life during an emergency. We encourage our community to take the opportunity to learn these important skills and be prepared to help when it matters most.
