Our Public Works Director, Carl Mackley, is here with an update on the construction taking place at Rocket Road and Tremont Street.

These infrastructure improvements help support our growing community and ensure our roads and utilities continue serving residents well into the future.

We also want to hear from you! As we work to keep residents informed about construction projects, road closures, and other city updates, what is the best way for us to connect with you?

Let us know in the comments. Your feedback helps us build better communication and stronger connections throughout our community.

Our Public Works Director, Carl Mackley, is here to talk about the "Great Stink of 2026" and the work being done to improve conditions at our wastewater treatment plant.

While this creative solution is temporary, it has already made a significant difference by helping increase aeration and support the biological treatment process. These improvements are helping us address odor concerns while we continue planning and funding long-term repairs to the larger aeration equipment.

We know this has been a concern for many residents, and we appreciate your patience as our crews work to improve the system. Thank you for your support as we continue investing in the infrastructure that keeps our community healthy, safe, and connected.

Mayor’s Connection Report V. 6 Issue. 1

The Connection Report is our way of helping residents stay informed and connected to the work happening in Tremonton City.

Every two weeks, we share a straightforward summary of discussions from City Council Workshops, Strategic Planning Sessions, and City Council meetings. You'll find updates on projects, community initiatives, decisions made, upcoming events, and items that will return to Council for future consideration.

This report covers the June 2, 2026 City Council Workshop, Strategic Planning Session, and City Council Meeting as we continue working together to build a strong, connected community in the heart of Bear River Valley.

🎨 Something New is Taking Shape in Midland Square! 🎨

If you've driven down Main Street recently and noticed our artist, Layton Scarbrough Art, at work in Midland Square, you are getting a first look at Tremonton's newest public art project—the Midland Square Mural.

This mural celebrates the history, heritage, and community spirit of the historic Midland Hotel, which once stood as a gathering place for travelers, businesses, families, and friends. More than just a building, the Midland served as a community hub where connections were made and memories were created.

The artwork incorporates numerous symbolic elements that reflect the role Midland Square played in Tremonton's story. As the mural comes to life, you'll discover details that honor our community's past while celebrating the people and connections that continue to shape Tremonton today.

After the previous mural was painted over to preserve the building, the Tremonton City Arts Council commissioned this project to create a lasting visual landmark that enhances Midland Square, preserves local history, and strengthens community pride. The mural also recognizes themes of service, sacrifice, and civic spirit that have long been part of Tremonton's identity.

This new mural will add to our award winning Public Art Collection which won Best of State: Public Art for the 10th time this year.

We invite you to stop by, watch the progress, and follow along as this exciting addition to our downtown takes shape.

Mayor Bret Rohde reflects on the importance of stepping away from screens to reconnect with loved ones. Last month’s Wi-Fi outage highlighted how often we rely on technology for our downtime. He encourages residents to designate one evening a week for screen-free family time, fostering deeper connections and community spirit. Let's prioritize presence over devices!
