Here’s last week’s stats!

If you’re a first responder, you know we don’t like to use the “Q” word around here, but last week was a calm one—and we like that.

That’s not to say crime didn’t happen or that people weren’t affected. Our officers still handled calls, made traffic stops, investigated offenses, and responded when our community needed us. But overall, things stayed relatively calm.

We’d like to keep that same energy this week—especially with the Box Elder County Fair happening.

And because we know better than to tempt fate, that’s all we’re going to say about how *q—* last week was. 🤐

🚨 PARADE DAY REMINDER! 🎡

The Box Elder County Fair Parade is TODAY at 5:00 PM! If you're traveling through Tremonton this afternoon, please plan ahead for road closures and delays.

🟢 2:30 PM — Staging Area Closes
Tremont Street from approximately 1200 S/10400 N to 600 S will be closed to regular traffic for parade staging. North/south and east/west travel through the staging area will be restricted. Access will be provided only for residents within the closure who have no alternate route.

🔵 4:30 PM — Parade Route Closes
The parade will begin at 600 S Tremont Street and travel north to 600 N Tremont Street. The entire route, along with intersections that would allow vehicles to enter or cross it, will be closed beginning at 4:30 PM.

🔴 Main Street & End Area Closures
Main Street will be closed from 400 W to 300 E, with no traffic permitted to cross the parade route. Additional east/west closures will be in place near the end of the route at 600 N.

🚧 Expect delays. Use alternate routes when possible and give yourself extra travel time.

Please respect all barricades, road closures, and directions from officers and traffic-control personnel. Do not attempt to drive around or move barricades. They are there to keep parade participants, spectators, and motorists safe.

🚧 Ah yes, our old friend: the 1000 W road closure. 🚧

If this one feels familiar… well, it should. 😅

For the duration of the Box Elder County Fair, August 26–29, 1000 W will be closed from approximately 350 N to 500 N.

This short closure helps provide a safer pedestrian crossing between the parking area and the fairgrounds, especially as foot traffic increases throughout the week.

Please take the quick detour, respect the barricades, and keep an eye out for pedestrians throughout the fair area.

🎡 BOX ELDER COUNTY FAIR PARADE — ROAD CLOSURES 🎡

The Box Elder County Fair Parade is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26, beginning at 5:00 PM!

If you’ll be traveling through Tremonton tomorrow afternoon, please take a look at the maps and plan ahead. Several roads along and around the parade route will be closed before and during the parade.

🟢 STAGING AREA — CLOSED BEGINNING AT 2:30 PM
The staging area along Tremont Street from approximately 1200 S/10400 N to 600 S will close to regular traffic beginning at 2:30 PM and remain closed until the parade has cleared.

During this time, traffic will not be permitted to travel north or south through the staging area or cross it from east to west. Access will be provided only for residents within the closure who have no other way to reach their homes.

🔵 PARADE ROUTE — CLOSED BEGINNING AT 4:30 PM
The parade begins at 600 S Tremont Street at 5:00 PM and will travel north on Tremont Street to 600 N.

Beginning at 4:30 PM, the parade route will be closed to traffic. Intersections and streets that would allow vehicles to enter or cross the parade route will also be closed.

🔴 MAIN STREET & PARADE END AREA
Main Street will be closed between 400 W and 300 E, and vehicles will not be permitted to cross the parade route.

At the north end of the route near 600 N Tremont Street, east/west traffic between 400 W and 300 E will also be closed. Please refer to the maps for the specific closure points, marked with red Xs.

🚧 EXPECT DELAYS & PLAN ACCORDINGLY 🚧

If you don't need to be in the immediate parade area, we strongly encourage you to choose an alternate route and give yourself some extra travel time.

Most importantly, please respect all barricades, road closures, and directions from officers and traffic-control personnel. These closures are in place for the safety of parade participants, spectators, and everyone traveling through our community.
