“As we are preparing for the 2026-2027 school year, I want to share an expectation that will become part of the culture at every school and building in our district. We will be entering the new school year with a fierce commitment to making every TPS campus a No Fight Zone. Simply put, this means that we figure it out and we find a way without ever resorting to physical violence.”
-Dr. Ebony Johnson, Superintendent.

Hamilton Elementary is committed to creating and nurturing a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that is conducive to learning. It’s understandable – expected, even – for our young people to need additional emotional support in managing feelings and regulating their emotions. With our families' partnership, our goal is to reinforce that our school is a place where every student can feel safe.

Tulsa Public Schools is a No Fight Zone. In our district, we don’t fight. We figure it out, and we find a way forward together. Visit the link below.

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost during the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. Earlier this year, Mayor Monroe Nichols announced (also May 31) June 1 as an annual Day of Observance—a time for our community to reflect, learn, and remember.

This day serves as an opportunity for residents, schools, businesses, and community organizations to engage in meaningful discussions and activities that recognize the significance of this tragic event in our history. As we honor the memory of those who lost their lives, we also reaffirm the importance of understanding our past and working together toward a brighter future.
