🐠🦈 5th Grade Aquarium Adventure! 🌊🐙

Our 5th graders had an incredible day at the aquarium today! They got to explore the amazing world beneath the surface and see aquatic life up close. From fascinating creatures to hands-on learning, it was a day full of discovery, excitement, and unforgettable memories! 🐢🐟🦑

A HUGE shoutout to the Oklahoma Aquarium for welcoming our Huskies today and helping make this such a fun and educational experience! We appreciate you giving our students the opportunity to learn, explore, and make memories outside the classroom. 💚

🐾🍿 **Husky Bistro was a BIG hit!** 🍿🐾

Over the last two days, our Huskies got to enjoy a special **Husky Bistro** incentive—watching a movie while enjoying lunch with their friends! 🎬🍎✨

We had **SO many students** earn this special reward that we had to split the celebration across **two days!** 🙌🐾 That is a pretty amazing problem to have!

🚦💚 **Learning to Lead — and Keep Hamilton Safe!** 🐺👮‍♂️

Our amazing **Safety Patrol students** had a special hands-on lesson today with **Sergeant Edwards from the Skiatook Police Department!** 👏

They learned important tips about **traffic and pedestrian safety**, got an up-close look at a police vehicle 🚓, and discovered more about how our officers work to keep our community safe.

We love seeing our students step up, learn responsibility, and take their leadership roles seriously! 💚

A BIG thank-you to Sergeant Edwards for spending time with our Safety Patrol and helping our students learn how to be safe, responsible leaders!

💻📚 **Learning to Be Safe Digital Citizens!** 🔐

Our students have been learning with our librarian about **digital citizenship** and what it means to be safe, responsible, and respectful while using technology. 🌐✨

Students discussed important ways to protect themselves online, make smart choices, respect others, and think carefully about what they share and do in the digital world.

A special **shoutout to our amazing librarian, Ms. Ford**, for helping our students develop the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly! 💙👏

🔬🧪 **5th Grade Science in Action!** 🧪🔬

Our 5th graders have been getting hands-on in science class as they explore the **three states of matter: solids, liquids, and gases!** They conducted experiments, made observations, and learned how scientists measure **volume**—putting their science skills to work!

📏💧 **Fun Fact:** The word *volume* has been studied for centuries, but the famous scientist **Archimedes** is often credited with discovering a method for measuring the volume of irregularly shaped objects using water displacement. Talk about a splash of science history! 🌊

A big **SHOUTOUT to our amazing 5th grade science teacher, Adre Hurst, for creating engaging experiments and helping our students turn scientific concepts into hands-on learning experiences! 👏🧑‍🔬

It’s apple season, and our Kindergarten Huskies have been learning all about apples and orchards!

🌳🍎 From discovering how apples grow to exploring the different parts of an apple, our students have been having a crisp and delicious time learning! 📚✨

🌊🦖 **The Aquarium Came to Our School!** 🐠🦈

Our students had an incredible opportunity to learn about the fascinating aquatic creatures that lived during the **Cretaceous Period** in the **Western Interior Seaway**!

The aquarium brought the learning experience right to our school and introduced students to amazing prehistoric creatures like **mosasaurs, plesiosaurs, Ginsu sharks, ammonites,** and so much more! 🦈🐙🌊

It was so much fun getting to explore the ancient underwater world and learn about the incredible creatures that once lived in the waters covering much of what is now the central United States. 🌎

A huge thank-you to the Oklahoma Aquarium for bringing this exciting, hands-on learning experience to our students! 💙🌊
